Flight School Organization
Ground School Segment:
Ground school training includes both
Private Pilot and Instrument Pilot classes. Typically there are
two Private Pilot Ground Schools held per year and one Instrument
Ground School held per year.
Instructors for the ground schools are:
- Donald Weaver, Certified Flight
Instructor since 1991 and a pilot since 1975 with nearly 4000
hours total time. Don holds a commercial multi-engine
instrument rating and a commercial float-plane rating, and
actively teaches aerobatics and tailwheel technique in addition to
primary and instrument flight instruction.
- Creig Kelley, Advanced Ground
Instructor since 1998 and a pilot since 1986 with nearly
1000 hours total time. Creig holds a commercial multi-engine
instrument rating and is an avid skydiver and jump-plane pilot
with a turbine type rating in the deHavilland Twin Otter. Creig
also has aerobatics experience and tailwheel endorsements.
- Paul Ries, Advanced Ground
Instructor since 2006 and a pilot and member of Flymore for a
decade.
Flight Training Segment:
Students are encouraged to take flight
training concurrently or after ground school concludes with area
flight instructors.
A list
of certified instructors approved by Flymore Inc. is provided to
students. These instructors support the operations of Flymore
Inc. as part of their instructional activities. Other
instructors are available in the area, some of whom teach through
local aircraft rental agencies ("Fixed Base Operators").
Students are encouraged to check on all their options for aircraft and
instructors in preparation for flying lessons.
